This intricately detailed 8-day alarm clock is an exquisite work of Charles Armand Marguerat, retailed by Plojoux Geneva; first quarter of the 20th century. A special technique called guilloché was used to decorate the sides and the top of the clock.
When the alarm goes off, the oval lid opens up which releases the mechanical singing bird. The bird opens and closes its beak, turns around and makes real-like bird sounds. Videos of that are upon request.
The clock comes with a winding key.
The piece is in unblemished condition - it has a working mechanism.
