Czechoslovakian Art Deco statue of a nude female figure eating grapes designed by Jaroslav Hruska for Bechyne. The artist was most likely inspired by the image/statue of a Greek God Dionysus (Bacchus in it.) who is often portrayed holding a bunch of grapes. We can see that many statues produced by the ceramic manufacturer Bechyne use Greek mythology as the subject matter, e.g. Jan Lichtag - the statue of Diane.
You will find Hruska's signature impressed on the side of the base of the statue. The bottom is impressed with Bechyne's company mark and a serial number 818.
This statue is in unblemished condition.
Dimensions: H35 x L14 x W20 cm; (H13,7" x L5,5" x W7,8").
