Once owned by the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids Minnesota - now part of my private collection of Hollywood Memorabilia - Judy Garlands Personal copy of the Wizard of Oz Decca Record SET from 1939 - from the famous "Treasured Memorabilia & Art - JUDY" auction held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on November 27th 1978 - Lot #138 - Sold by Sid Luft.
Take a look at close up signature of Judys (she was then only 16 years old) who wrote FRANCES on the front cover - her real name being Frances Gumm. Judys signature song and an Academy award winning ballad - music by Harold Arlen & lyrics by E.Y. Harburg.
Condition: In very fine condition. Spine does has splitting but is still intact - has Judys HAND WRITTEN notations through out - missing 1 of the 4 Decca records (the least important of the grouping) does include the elusive JITTEERBUG Song number which was deleted from the final movie. This piece comes also with the ORIGINAL admission tickets to the auction and the ORIGINAL bidding numbers to participate and bid in the auction and lastly the ORIGINAL auction catalog which shows LOT #138 - PRISTINE provenance.
